CLO Attainment?
📌 What is CLO Attainment?
CLO Attainment is a percentage value that indicates how well a student has achieved a specific Course Learning Outcome based on their performance in assessments. It is automatically computed for each student per CLO.
🧠 How is it Calculated?
The calculation depends on your campus's OBE (Outcome-Based Education) mode, which can be either:
- Marks-Based
- Percentage-Based
You can configure this under each Campus using the OBE Calculation field.
📐 Logic Based on OBE Calculation Mode
🛡️ Historical Override
If the Historical Attainment field is filled with a value greater than zero, that value is used directly as the attainment, and the system skips recalculation.
This allows academic staff to manually override attainment when necessary (e.g., data loss, corrections).
🎯 Attainment Evaluation
Once the attainment is calculated:
- It is compared against the CLO KPI defined at the batch level (batch_id.clo_kpi)
- If the calculated attainment is greater than or equal to the KPI, the field Attained will be marked True
- Otherwise, it is marked False
